This week, from 3rd to 5th June 2025, KEPHIS is exhibiting at the International Flower Trade Expo (IFTEX) 2025 in Nairobi, Kenya. IFTEX is one of the world’s leading floriculture events, bringing together growers, exporters, buyers, and regulators from across the globe.

During the official opening ceremony, the Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, Hon. Mutahi Kagwe, visited the KEPHIS stand, underscoring the government’s support for the floriculture sector and KEPHIS’s role in trade facilitation.

Representing the KEPHIS Managing Director was Mr. Josiah Syanda, Deputy Director, KEPHIS JKIA. The KEPHIS office at JKIA is responsible for the inspection and certification of horticultural exports, ensuring they comply with international phytosanitary requirements before leaving the country.
KEPHIS plays a key role in this ecosystem by ensuring all flowers and plant products meet international phytosanitary standards. Our presence at IFTEX reflects our commitment to safe trade, plant health, and quality assurance. By partnering with industry players, we help protect Kenya’s flower market, open new trade opportunities, and uphold the Country’s reputation for excellence in floriculture.
